McCormack on Managing

Came across this book on a set of CDs in Cupertino Library.  Litsened to it during my Sunday afternoon jog through Carmel Mission Trail.  Really enjoyed it.  It is not from a business school academic who whip up a new "paradigm".  This is a straitforward, to the point book discussing crucial aspects of management.  Mcormick created IMG 30 year ago and made it the largest sport/music star management company.  He also wrot a few other book such as "Knowledges they don't teach in Harvard B-School" and "On Selling".  Might worth a look also.

In the book, he mentions a few simple to follow rules: manage other as you'd like to be managed; consistensy, show the way but get out the way, incentive matters, regularly examine and remove bureacraies, share both triumph and suffering.
